I was so surprised when I opened my package from Elena as when I spoke to her over email and found out she was sending me some products to review, I expected to receive 1 or 2 sample size products but instead I received 5 full size products!
When I received the fake tan, it also came with a little poster (I'd show you but it's very ripped as the package was wet from the rain when I received it) that reads: 'Bronze Ambition - When a product works, it just works. Bronze Ambition keeps it as simples as possible with high performance products that give and entirely natural looking tan with absolutely no fuss. With a great selection of Instant Tan and Gradual Tan products, choose the one that you prefer and just smooth it over your skin and you'll see a streak-free, perfect finish. The intense moisturisation maintains and prolongs your tan and the light fragrance makes it a pleasure to use. All products in the rang are quick drying for quick results.
When I read that the tan was available in Poundland etc, naturally I was quite worried about using the products and didn't think they'd be very good at all but I was rather surprised with the outcome!
The Creightons Bronze Ambition products are available in Home Bargains, Poundland, Bodycare and Savers stores nationwide.
This was the first product that I tried out of the package. I first tried this cream on my arms and shoulders while spending the day on the seafront and I loved it! I personally don't like wash off tans but I was pleasantly surprised with this one, it looked really pretty in the sunlight and made me look like I had a healthy tan, also it didn't go streaky at all which is a major added bonus! I thought I'd try this product for a second time so this time I used it on my legs while going up to the harbour festival and I wasn't too pleased. I felt that it didn't do any favours for the shape of my legs and the shine on my legs didn't look flattering.
Although I didn't like this product on my legs, I think it would look really pretty over a tan if you're going out for a meal or something while on holiday.
My opinion on this product was pretty much the same as the Bronze Ambition Glow 'N' Go Instant Tan Wash Off in the shade Medium Shimmer. Personally, I preferred this product to the Medium Shimmer shade. As I said before, I don't normally like wash off tans but I did quite like this one. I used this product on my arms and chest before a night out and I really liked it. I'm one of those people that likes to fake tan before going on a night out but I can't always be bothered, especially if I'm only showing my arms and not my legs so I felt that this was the perfect solution. It's really quick to apply, so you can just pop a bit on without having to take all the time fake tanning your whole body.
I also think that this would be the perfect product to use as a makeup base if you want a more tanned look to your face. I haven't tried using it in this way yet so if you have, let me know in the comments what you think!
I decided to use this tan 2 days before I had an event on as I wanted to look tanned but as I'd never used this tan before, I wanted to make sure I did it with plenty of time to spare just incase it went streaky or patchy. I put about 3 layer of the tan on as I'm quite tanned naturally so I wanted to make sure it made a difference. I left the tan on for the stated time on the bottle before I showered to wash it off. When the tan was developing, it looked like it had developed really well and I was really excited to wash it off. After washing the excess tan off in the shower, I was a bit disappointed. I found that after I'd washed the tan off, it hadn't made much difference than before I'd put it on. This wasn't an awful tan, the colour of it that did show up wasn't streaky or patchy, I think that the problem is that it was the wrong shade for my skin tone. If the tan was in a darker shade, I think it would've looked lovely and showed up as I would've liked it to.
Although the tan didn't really show up on my skin tone, I think it would be the perfect product to use in the winter when you want a slight tan and a nice healthy glow to your skin that looks natural without people noticing that you've got fake tan on.
All of the Ceightons fake tan products that I was sent smelt beautiful!
Again, when I saw that these products were from Poundland, I didn't think they'd work. I also received a poster with these two products with all the details about them which read:
Following the success of Creightons Keratin Pro Shampoo, Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner has been added to the range to bring height, volume and fullness to flat, limp hair. Texturising Sea Salt, thickening Pro Vitamin B5 and conditioning Wheat Protein are the key ingredients in these professionally formulated new products to deliver hair with high gloss shine, big volume, body and bounce.Volume Pro Shampoo gently cleanses the hair, and removes volume-inhibiting build-up. The light-weight formula adds texture for extra fullness.
Volume Pro Conditioner smoothes and conditions the hair, replenishing moisture without weighing the hair down. The advanced formula improves manageability, smoothing and reducing flyaways, leaving hair with enviable volume all day long.
The Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner are available to buy in Poundland.
Admittedly when I received these products in the post, I was really skeptical to use them because I'm so precise with what products I use on my hair but when I used the Creightons Volume Pro Shampoo and Conditioner I was very surprised! Normally when I wash my hair, it goes really knotty and I can't get a brush through it until it's dried but with these 2 products, as soon as I washed the shampoo out of my hair and applied the conditioner, I was able to run my fingers straight through it. I thought that this may just be because I had conditioner in my hair but once I'd washed the conditioner out my hair, I was able to brush through it with a hair brush. It left my hair feeling really soft, looking shiny and smelling lovely!
If any of you guys have previously used these products, let me know what you think in the comments!
