I was scrolling through Facebook the other day and a link popped up with a huge list of things to do to improve your everyday life so of course being me, I clicked on it and I loved it so I decided to do a kind of re-blog post with my favourite points out of the list and the ones that I personally find most useful.
Exercise
Exercise helps in so many ways! It will help you sleep better at night and be more alert during the day. Exercise helps me de-stress so much! It will help wake you up in the morning and help to sharpen and focus your mind.
Don't Say 'I'll Do It Tomorrow'
Now this is something I'm awful at doing! We're all guilty of doing this at some point in our lives and we all know that 'tomorrow never comes'. Tomorrow is like the imaginary land that never arrives. Most of the time when you say 'I'll do it tomorrow' or 'I don't have time', you do have time, you just can't be bothered. If something needs doing, do it straight away!
Don't Make Excuses
If there is something you want to do or something that needs doing, just do it. If you want something a lot, you won't make excuses.
Don't Hold Grudges
It takes a lot of energy to be mad at people so don't bother, just let things go. If someone is causing you problems, bringing you down etc, don't hold a grudge; let them go.
Stop And Smell The Roses
It's good to want to better yourself, but you also need to know when to take time to stop and relax. Let your batteries recharge.
Be Thankful And Grateful
Sometimes it can be hard in the moment to realise that you actually have it pretty good. Every now and then, you should take a moment to stop and think about all the things you have in your life. There is always someone that has it worse than you so you should be happy with what you have. It's good to want to be better but you should always be thankful for what you already have.
Be Selfish
This one might sound like an odd one but sometimes you have to be selfish and think about yourself. Buy yourself a treat or do something for yourself once in a while. If you don't do things for yourself, how will you help others?
Keep Your Phone Away When With Friends And Family
You can always use technology but you won't always have time with your loved ones. Enjoy your time with them.
Be Yourself
Never be afraid to be who you are. Don't worry about other peoples opinion of you. Enjoy life and yourself. If people don't like you for who you are then you don't need them in your life.
Love With All Your Heart
Don't be afraid to let others in. Love unconditionally. If your heart gets broken, it will heal and you will learn. At the same time, make sure that just because you love so openly, you don't let others walk all over you.
Follow Your Passions And Your Dreams
Do what you love and what you enjoy. Don't settle for something that doesn't make you happy. If you believe that you are capable of more, then go for it.
