I was sat on my bed painting my nails thinking about how long I’ve been meaning to paint my nails and how there had been so many opportunities to paint them that I hadn’t even thought about so I thought, why not write a post on exactly that so not only will I be able to look back and read this post when I’m trying to find time to paint my nails but you guys will be able to as well.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll always be finding excuses not to paint your nails when they need doing. Mine is that I never have time to do them but if I think about it, I do have the time while I’m doing other things, I just don’t think about it. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love having my nails done but my problem is finding the time and having the patience to sit around and wait for them to dry. I know how pretty they’ll look after and how much better I’ll feel about them but I just can’t bring myself to give up my time of doing something else to sit and wait for my nails to dry. SO I came up with a few ways to find time to paint your nails that won’t mean that you’re waiting for them to dry while you could be doing something else. So here goes:
Use Your Time Wisely While Watching TV
Everyone watches TV. I don’t think there’s many people that would be reading this that can tell me that they don’t watch TV. While watching TV, most of us won’t be doing anything else apart from maybe drinking a cup of tea or sat scrolling through our phones (I know that’s what I do!). This is a perfect time to paint your nails! You’re watching TV so you have time to sit and wait for your nails to dry without worrying about having something else to do.
Use Your Time While Catching Up On Youtube Videos
Now this is similar to the last point. It doesn’t have to be Youtube videos, it can be anything along those lines. But being a Beauty Blogger (or just a blogger full stop!) and an aspiring youtuber, I subscribe to a lot of other bloggers/youtubers on youtube so of course, I spend a lot of my free time watching all of their videos. I know that I’m not the only one that does this and that there are a lot of you out there who will also spend your time doing something like this whether it’s watching Youtube videos or watching live streams etc. Again, this is a perfect time to paint your nails. If you’re catching up on youtube videos, the chances are that you’re going to be sat there long enough to wait for your nails to dry. So use the time and paint them!
Paint Them While You’re Out
This one is slightly different to the other 2 pointers but painting your nails while you’re out is a great idea that not many of us think about. I often find myself going out to somewhere like the beach to give myself a little bit of time to relax and getaway from my everyday routine and then sitting there thinking ‘I could’ve easily painted my nails now’. Carrying nail polish is not something we often think of and certainly won’t be the first thought it our minds but when you’re going out somewhere that you know you’re going to have time sitting around, it could be the perfect time to paint your nails! If you’re planning on staying where you are for a few hours then you’ll have plenty of time to wait for your nails to dry.
Just make sure that whenever or wherever you decide to paint your nails, you check that if there’s anyone around you, they don’t mind the fumes of the nails polish and that you have a surface to paint them on so that you’re not risking ruining any furniture etc. I personally like to use a tray with tissues on if I’m sat somewhere like the sofa or on my bed.
How do you find time to paint your nails? Let me know in the comments!
